Does it sometimes feel as if you are not in control of your own life and is only going through the motions to please other people? Then meet Bill (Aaron Eckhart) because that is exactly what is happening to him in this 2008 movie.
He is in a dead end job which he hates; his wife cheats on him with the local TV news anchorman; his in-laws treat him like something the cat dragged in and to top it all, he is addicted to chocolate bars which is not at all good for his physique and self esteem. But then he stumbles into the Big Brother program of a local prep school where he unwillingly becomes mentor to a sassy, world-wisely teenager (Logan Lerman) - older girlfriend (Jessica Alba) and all - and things start to change...for the better!
This is quite an entertaining comedy and even if the storyline sometimes looses focus a bit, the superb acting by the etire cast more than makes up for it. In the end, I awarded this DVD 3 out of 5 stars.
