HORRIBLE BOSSES (2011)
Last time I looked at what I consider as good comedy. This post looks at just the opposite. In this movie (and its sequel) one gets the impression that the three lead actors enjoy this silly bit of foolishness far more than their intended audience will. However, there are some funny bits that occasion a smile or two but these are spread thin throughout this potty-mouthed pretense of a comedy.
Three overgrown adolescent men (Played by Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis) are fed up with the way in which they are treated by their respective bosses (depicted by Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston and Colin Farrell). So they decide to bump off each other's so that suspicion won't fall on them. However, things do not turn out quite as expected.
The only ray of sunshine in this whole mess is Jamie Foxx who in the roll of "murder consultant" sparkles as usual. Therefor, be warned. If you are in the least squeamish, you will definitely be offended. Even if you are not squeamish, you might still be. When are film makers going to get it that to be foulmouthed does not necessary mean you are funny? Hence, I can give this movie no more than 2 out of 5 stars.

HORRIBLE BOSSES 2 (2014)
It is often said that the sequel is seldomly as good as the original. I am afraid that rings true for this sequel as well.
The boys are back but this time with an invention with which they hope to make a lot of money. Of cause the item has to be something bathroom related. That on its own is already a hint of what is to come. But when they are being swindled by their business partner (Christopher Waltz) they decide to kidnap his bratty son (Chris Pine) in an effort to recoup their losses. And yet again things do not pan out exactly as they planned.
It is above me why a group of such esteemed and accomplished actors (with two Oscar winners among them) could associate themselves with a piece of drivel like this. Be that as it may, this one gets only 1 out of 5 stars from me.
